Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform stable measurement, by bringing a measuring gas into contact with one electrode provided on both sides of a solid electrolyte element and bringing the gas removed moisture from the measuring gas into contact with the other electrode and then measuring by the electromotive force generated between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte type oxygen sensor 3 is attached projectingly in a waste gas duct 1. A solid electrolyte element 30 is provided so that the inner space of a pipe-shaped magnetic pipe 33 is partitioned in a core axis direction in the sensor 3. A duct 5 is inserted into the inner part of the pipe 33 and another end of the duct 5 is projectd into a waste gas duct 1. Further, the duct 5 is provided with a pump 6 and a gas drier 7. Accordingly, dried measuring gas removed of moisture content is brought into contact with an electrode 23. Then, the moisture content is measured by the electromotive force generated between both electrodes 31, 32. In such a manner, stable measurement of the moisture content can be performed.
