Abstract
PURPOSE: To pass the aluminum foil by the remote operation and to contrive the labor saving and the shortening of working time, by holding the tip of aluminum foil sent from the uncoiler with the freely movable sheet pass leader arranged on the feeding side of the rolling roll, and by causing the sheet pass leader to guide the aluminum foil into the gap of rolling rolls collaborating with the uncoiling work of the uncoiler.
CONSTITUTION: The sheet pass leader 4 is passed through the guide roll 12 into the gap of pinch rolls 11, 11, and the leader tip 4a is placed on the guide plate 13. Next, the tip of aluminum foil 2 being sent from the uncoiler 1 is located under the back face of the leader 4 through the pinch rolls 11; after that, the negative pressure is introduced into the hollow space 6 of the leader 4, and the foil 2 is sucked onto the back face of the leader 4 by the action of the negative pressure given by the small holes 7. Just before the foil 2, being sucked onto the back face of the leader 4, is bitten by the rollers 3, the drum 9 stops the rotation, and the leader 4 is automatically stopped. At the same time, the air is released from the small hole 7 to release the foil 2 downward, and the tip of the foil 2 is caused to be bitten by the rolls 3.
