Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably and efficiently form the foil of high accuracy, by carrying out the rolling work with upper and lower rolls rotating at different circumferential speeds under the condition that plural material sheets to be rolled are previously overlapped before being subjected to the rolling work.
CONSTITUTION: The material 2 is supplied from each of the feeding coilers 3, 4, and is passed through the rolling roll group 1 through the guide rolls 5, 6. Hereupon, the tips of upper and lower materials 2 to be rolled are welded by the strip tip welder 9 like as the spot welder, etc., at the position of the material 2 just passed the first guide roll 5. The lubricant is supplied from the lubricant supply unit 8 to the contact surface of upper and lower materials 2 for the purpose of preventing this contact surface while undergoing the rolling work from being injured. Additionally, the circumferential speeds of upper and lower rolls during the rolling work are made different. Hereby, the thickness of the material 2 to be rolled can be rolled can be increased, besides, the reduction of the pressing force and the improvement of accuracy of the product and rolling efficiency can be contrived.
