Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform synchronizing detection of the training signal correctly, by integrating the polarlity value of the symbol of the signal detected by the polarity detector and the value of the polarity of the preceding symbol stored in the register and by transmitting the output if the integrated result is the positive polarity. CONSTITUTION:Phase comparators PC1 and PC2 receive inputs S1 and S2 of voltage control oscillator VCO different in phase by 180 deg. and training signal SO and generate outputs proportional to cosine of phase differences between them and output signals X and Y through low-off filters LF1 and LF2. Polarity detector OP detects the polarity of signal X and outputs signal x1. When detector OP outputs signal x1 of the polarity of the next symbol, this polarity value and the value of the polarity of the preceding symbol stored in register KG are inputted to multiplier M; and if the multiplied value is the positive polarity, signal ''1'' is output from the output of the inverter. As a result, the polarity of signal X is used to perform synchronizing detection correctly.
