Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the corrosion resistance of a copper alloy to a large extent as well as retain its malleability at the conventional degree by preparing a specific composition of the copper alloy containing Ni, Mn.
CONSTITUTION: The corrosion resistance of a copper alloy is raised by preparing a copper alloy cast ingot composed of 1W10% Ni; 0.1W1.0% Mn; and remainder Cu; and also its malleability is made similar to that of the conventional one by subjecting it to deoxidation and desulfurization. The use of the copper alloy in the fin of automobile radiator enables the thickness of the fin to thinned and also the life of the radiator to be lengthened.
