CONSTITUTION:A starting circuit is constituted of heat responsive switches 11 and 12 and a heating resistance 13, which are connected in series. The starting circuit, and a luminous tube 1 connected parallel to the starting circuit are installed within an outer tube 14. The heat responsive switch 11 is located in the outer tube 14 so that it works only with the heat of the luminous tube 1; the heat responsive switch 12, so that it works with the heat of both the luminous tube 1 and the heating resistance 13. A starting auxiliary conductor 9, which is fixed to the outer wall of the luminous tube 1, is placed between the heat responsive switches 11 and 12 and is electrically connected to these switches.
