Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an uniform cooling of a winding by a method wherein an outer winding is wound around an outer circumference of an inner winding, a clearance is made between the windings and a plurality of spacer members are arranged in a helical form. CONSTITUTION:When a liquified coolant is dispersed over each of the windings 1, 2, the coolant is fed from the upper end of the cooling duct 6, flowed along the spacer member 5, wound around the surfaces of each of the windings 1, 2, and its part is dropped from the clearance left on the contact surface between each of the windings 1, 2 due to its machining accuracy. Since the liquified coolant is fed to the portion other than the part just below the upper end of the cooling duct 6, entire circumference of the winding may be cooled.
