Abstract
PURPOSE:To regulate the size of breadth of the field core of the rotary machine to be the necessary minimum and to obtain the small and light weight field device by a method wherein concave parts extending to the axial direction are provided at the inner circumferential parts of the magnetic frame and parts of the field cores are inserted and laid in them. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic frame 1 is formed by casting having an about uniform circumferential thickness H. Concave parts 6 having the breadth W4 wider than the breadth W1a of the field cores extending in the axial direction are provided at the inner circumferential face B. Machining is performed to a part of the field cores 2 being equipped with the field windings 4, and the field cores are inserted and laid in the equipping concave parts 6 being provided in the magnetic frame, and are fixed with bolts 5. By this way, because the hindrance by the side faces of pedestals are eliminated so that the field cores can be equipped without problem even if the field cores are made to have enough breadth size to obtain the desired quantity of magnetic flux, and moreover because of the absence of the pedestal, the damage of insulating layers to be caused by the collision of the pedestal with the field winding can be prevented.
