Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate separation of the heat accumulating material crystal having attached to the periphery of the heat exchanging fins of a heat accumulator by placing on the latent heat accumulating material in the heat accumulating container a liquid which is insoluble in said material and disposing heat exchangers for cooling on the boundary surface therebetween so that a portion of each heat exchanger is dipped in said latent heat accumulating material.
CONSTITUTION: When a low-temperature heat medium is made to flow in each heat exchanger 6 for cooling in order to collect the heat in a heat accumulating material 3, the heat accumulating material 3 around each fin 6b crsytallizes to attach thereto. In this case the liquid 5 around each pipe 6a is also cooled, so that the boundary surface 7 between the liquid 5 and the heat accumulating material 7 also becomes a heat transmitting surface, also from which the heat accumulating material 3 is cooled. Accordingly, the heat accumulating material crystals 4 each having attached to the periphery of the fin 6b are unitarily connected together between adjacent fins 6b. When the thickness of the crystal 4 increases and consequently its thermal resistance increases, a high- temperature heat medium is made to flow in the pipes 6a in order to liquefy the crystal 4 and separate it from the fins 6b. Thus, the separation of the heat accumulating material crystal is facilitated, and the fall in the heat transmission amount is prevented as well as the utilization rate of the heat accumulating material is improved.
