Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the transfer of heat to be made through the natural circulation of a coolant without using power by a method wherein a trap is formed in the intermediate portion of a coolant piping connecting heat exchangers for high and low temperature heat transfer media and a heat accumulating tank, at a position at which the heat exchanger for the heat accumulating tank is located.
CONSTITUTION: The gas phase coolant evaporated in the heat exchanger 1 circulates through the apparatus in response to the relationships among the temperature to of the low temperature heat transfer medium, the temperature ts of the low accumulating tank 4 and the temperature tr of the high temperature heat transfer medium. More particularly, it circulates through the passage from the heat accumulating tank 4 to the trap 6, the passage from the low temperature heat transfer medium heat exchanger 3 to the trap 6 or the passage from the heat exchanger 3 to the heat exchanger 2 after it joins the coolant evaporated due to the heat of the tank 4 and flowing from the heat exchanger 2. Accordingly, the heat is transferred from the high temperature heat transfer medium to the low temperature heat transfer medium irrespective of temperature relationships and without the use of power. Further, since no control device is used, the reliability of the apparatus is improved.
