Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled heat exchanger having an improved pressure resistance and an improved heat-exchanging efficiency by a method wherein a group of heat-transmitting pipes having fins in the interior thereof are placed in parallel to each other and with a heat-transmitting medium filled therebetween, hot and cold fluids are allowed to flow in the pipes, and distributing and collecting headers for the fluids are provided at both ends of the group of the pipes.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-exchanging section 1 is comprised of a plulality of the heat- transmitting pipes 1a, 1b which have fins in the interior thereof and are placed in parallel to each other with the heat-transmitting medium 4 filled therebetween. Extended parts 5, 6 which are bent but not filled with the medium 4 are provided at both ends of the heat-exchanging section 1 and are connected with tube plates 7, 8. The headers 9, 12 for distributing and collecting the fluids are fitted to the tube plates 7, 8. The hot fluid flows through a pipe 11a, the header 9a, the pipe 1a, the header 12a and a pipe 14a, while the cold fluid flows through a pipe 11b, the pipe 1a and a pipe 14a in the opposite direction so that heat is exchanged between the fluids through the heat-transmitting medium 4. Accordingly, the pressure-resisting performance and the heat-exchanging efficiency are improved.
