Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate separation of crystals and increase the efficiency of heat recovery from a heat accumulating material by making hollow the fins of a heat exchanger for cooling dipped in a heat accumulating material and providing crystal separating device at the peripheral edges of the fins.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 5 for cooling dipped at the upper part of a heat accumulating material 3 within a heat accumulating vessel 1, is constituted by arranging horizontally a plurality of pipes 5b having hollow fins 5a at the lower end sides, and at the peripheral edges of the fins there are provided a horizontal plate 6 and a vertical plate 6' which are made of inconductive material for separating crystals 4. When a heat medium of a low temperature is caused to flow into pipes 5b, the liquid heat accumulating material 3 discharges the heat of coagulation and is rendered into a solid, and the heat is transmitted to the pipes 5b and the recovery of the accumulated heat is performed. A part of the heat medium flowing through the pipes 5b flows from the pipes 5b to hollow fins 5a, and hence the recovery of the heat is performed efficiently.
