Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a simple processing circuit by shortening a maximum inversion interval as much as possible while realizing the same data density with a 3PM system, by inverting binary codes at the center point of a bit cell and its boundary point. CONSTITUTION:When one bit of input data of binary codes changes from value 0 to value 1, inversion is performed at the center point of the bit cell of value 1; when a pattern having three continuous values 1 is included, inversion is performed at the final boundary point of three bits and when not less than four values 1 continue, continuous bits are sectioned at boundary points of cells by two bits. As a result, when there is the remainder, five bits before 0 after continuous 1s are divided into three bits and two bits and inversion is performed at the rear end of the section. In addition, when a pattern having continuous values 0 of input data is included, inversion is performed at the boundary point meeting requirements that the period of cells from the last inversion is greater than 3T and the boundary point is more than 1.5T away from the center point of value 1 appearing next.
