Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the vibration of cooling pipe as well as to uniform heat exchanging rate in each cooling pipe by providing a biasing plate above a vertical partition plate constituting a part of steam inlet through which steam from steam path is conducted into condensing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The brine 14 is flowed from the inlet 13 into the evaporating chamber 4, and steam produced in the chamber 4 goes up the steam path 8, passed through the demistor 9, does into the condensing chamber 10 through the steam inlet 10 surrounded by the ceiling plate 3 and the tip of the vertical partition plate 5, condensed by touching the cooling pipe 6, and taken out as fresh water after being collected in the tray 11. The noncondensable gas is directed to the baffle 16 and then taken out through the breeding hole 17 to the outside. If the biasing plate with a great number of holes 19 of a greater pore diameter toward its outside end, having a fixed inclined angle, is provided at the tip of the partition plate 5, the flow rate distribution of steam is made flat and thus biased flow is lessned and the heat exchanging rate of each cooling pipe is made uniform.
