Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the air fuel ratio from thickening at once in starting, by providing a solenoid valve which is once closed in the starting, in a passage between an intake pipe and a unit for collecting evaporated fuel from a fuel tank.
CONSTITUTION: The upper part of a fuel tank 20 is connected to that of an engine 11 through a communication pipe 13. Evaporated fuel in the tank 20 is collected into a crankcase 12 at the lower part of the engine 11. The crankcase is connected to an air cleaner 30 through another communication pipe 14 fitted with a solenoid valve 15. The air cleaner 30 is connected to the engine 11 through an intake passage R fitted with a carburetor 40. The solenoid valve 15 is connected to an operating switch 52, which is temporarily energized by energization an ignition switch 51. When the switch 51 is closed in starting, the valve 15 is shut off to disconnect the crankcase 12 form the air cleaner 30. After the starting, the switch 51 is turned off and the valve 15 is opened.
