Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode having long life and little falling-off of active substance due to softening by adding at a same time the dispersion of fluoro-resin and a specific amount of surfactant into paste. CONSTITUTION:To 1kg of lead active substance, 3cc of aqueous dispesion of poly- tetra-fluoroethylene, 2g of polyethylene oxide, and 150cc of water are added, and further 2-5g of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether is added, then said mixture is kneaded sufficiently by means of a kneader. Then, 100cc of dilute sulfuric acid having specific gravity of 1.35 is added gradually and the mixture is kneaded and then coated on lattice body made of lead alloy. After that, maturation is performed in high humidity, and drying is performed, and thus paste-type electrode can be obtained.
