Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of an electrolytic gel and to prevent leakage during storage under high temperatures by employing a light-metallic negative electrode, a light-metallic positive electrode and an organic electrolyte which is gelatinized by a specific method using polyalkylester methacrylate.
CONSTITUTION: A cell comprises a light-metallic negative electrode 4, a light- metallic positive electrode 5 and an electrolytic gel 7 gelatinized by polyalkylester methacrylate. The electrolytic gel 7 is prepared by mixing into paste polyalkylester methacrylate, propylene carbonate, boriclitium fluoride and methyl-ethyl keton at a weight ratio of 5 : 25 : 24 : 4. The electrolytic gel is applied to the positive electrode 5, then finished by evaporating methyl-ethyl keton under a reduced pressure of 30mmHg at 45°C.-butyrolactone may be used for the electrolyte. Polymethyl methacrylate may be used for the polyalkylester methacrylate. Aceton or tetrahydrafuran may be used instead of methyl-ethyl keton.
