Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a pasted plate with high dependability and long life, by making a grid obtained through expanding work to be filled with an active material, in such a manner that the thickness of the plate obtained is larger than that of the grid. CONSTITUTION:A grid 1 made of a Pd-Ca system alloy is prepared by means of expanding work. An active material 2 is packed into the grid 1 in such a manner that the thickness (T) of the plate obtained is 130-200% of the thickness (t) of the grid 1, thus a positive plate being obtained. For the purpose of increasing the battery life as well as utilization ratio of the active material, 3.3-4.0 external ratio of the action material 2 is prefered.
