Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of a control system, by controlling a sewage pump depending on the width of fluctuation in the level of sewage in a settling pond so that the pump works well in response to the fluctuation in the inflow rate of the sewage.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage introduced into a settling pond 2 is sampled by a unit 7 to measure the water level Hn of a pump #3. The water level Hm of the pump #3 at some time in the past is stored in a unit 8. The difference ΔHn between both the water levels Hn, Hm (water level fluctuation) is determined by a calculator. The difference ΔHn and a gain Gn corresponding to the water level Hn are applied to a multiplier 1 to determine the product Gn.ΔHn. This product is applied to a dead zone limitter 12. When the product exceeds a dead zone, a pump-up flow rate setpoint alteration output ΔQ is applied to a pump-up flow rate regulator 13. As a result, the quantity of the pumped-up sewage is made uniform.
