Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the extension for the address number of the external memory up to the limit or more which is given by the address bus by using the temporary memory means which is selected by the address generated by the microprocessor.
CONSTITUTION: Microprocessor 1 supplies the n-bits of addresses and m-bits of chip selection data to latch circuit 2 via the address bus and the data bus. The latch circuit corresponding to 2n-units of addresses is selected within circuit 2, and the chip selection of one of external memories 31W3p selected by the chip selection data is turned on. And the external memory is set under the writing state. In the circuit shown in the diagram, circuit 2 receives the address from processor 1 like other external memories for control. Thus the address number can be increased up to (2n-)×2m units.
