Abstract
PURPOSE: Filter element is made durable in a parallel turbulent flow filter process in which filter liquid is flowed in parallel to the filter element face in the flow passage and its flow is made turbulent near the inlet and outlet of the flow passage.
CONSTITUTION: A filter cylinder contains cylindrical filter elements 5 connected in series which is opened both at the filter liquid inlet 1 and its outlet 2 at the other side. Another outlet 3 is provided for taking out filtrate from the filter elements 5, and liquid passage 4 for passing the filter liquid in parallel to the filter element surface. The filter solution is caused to flow in the passage 4 with turbulent flow of Reynolds number over 3000.
