Abstract

Liq. filter has a housing with inlet and outlet branches and contains a mechanism for backflushing its filter plates. Each plate is formed from polymer discs e.g. polypropylene and has a number of perforations through them. Mesh type sieve elements are mounted between a pair of these discs to form the plates. The holes in the plates have an elongated shape, and extend radially. The parts of the housing can be dismantled to remove the plates. For use as water filter in chemical, metallurgical, paper and food industries. Is of simple construction with increased operational reliability and straightforward to manufacture.
