Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify structure as well as better connection by using the system in which an accelerated fuel nozzle is provided to the step system of two-stage type carburetor, the nozzle is further connected to an accelerated fuel trap, and fuel is sucked out by the negative pressure of air inlet pipe during the acceleration period.
CONSTITUTION: In a carburetor consisting of the primary side and secondary side throttle valves 1 and 2, the secondary side step system is provided with the accelerated fuel trap 9 enclosed by the blind stopper 14'. The upper part of the trap 9 is connected to the air through the air path 13 and also to the nozzles 11 and 11' just above the fully closed throttle valve 2 through the air jet 12. Furthermore, it is connected through the fuel path 7 above the air jet 12 to the float chamber 20. Thus, in the trap 9, fuel is always stored through the fuel path 7. And, during the acceleration time, the secondary throttle valve 2 is opened, whereupon the fuel in the trap 9 is injected from the nozzles 11 and 11' by means of negative pressure produced near the nozzles.
