Abstract
PURPOSE: To deposit heavy metals on the cathode plate effectively, by arranging plural anode plates and cathode plates one after the other at a specified space and flowing the liquid to be treated in one direction by providing turbulent flow body between each electrode plate.
CONSTITUTION: Plural anode plates 1 and the cathode plates 2 are arranged one after the other at a distance of 20mm or less and are connected with the power source 3 in paralle. The liquid to be treated 6, such as plating waste liquid etc., received in the tank 5, is introduced to the electrolytic cell 4 by the circulation pump 7 and overflowing liquid is returned to the tank. Gas generated during electrolysis, is sent to the absorption vessel 9 through the suction blower 8 and is discharged after treating by the absorbent 10. Stirring action is carried out by making turbulent flow with the liquid 6 hitted on the insulating turbulent flow body 11 and also heightening flowing speed in the narrow gap between electrodes. Accordingly, deposition effect of heavy metal ion on the cathode plate is improved.
