Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform efficient electrolytic coagulating treatment of waste water by adjusting current supplied to plural electrolytic chambers connected in series to an amount much the same as that of the electrolytic chamber on the upstream side and also by changing periodically the polarity of electrode plate.
CONSTITUTION: The elctrolytic bath 1 is divided into the plural electrolytic chambers 3 by the partition walls 2 and also provided with the inlet and outlet 41, 4'.., through which waste water can pass through each chamber in diagonal direction in order. And, the inside of each chamber is provided with a pair of cathode and anode electrodes, in which current supplied to each paired electrode is made higher than that of the paired electrode in chambers on the upstream side and also made lower than that of paired electrode in chambers on the downstream side. The adjustment of the current is made independently for each chamber and the polarity of each electrode plate is changed periodically for performing electrolytic coagulating treatment of waste water.
