Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a reduction in product size and a lowering in yield, make treatment of waste liquor, etc. unnecessary, and enhance the surface quality of the porduct by parallelly setting a cell provided with a negative electrode and a cell provided with a positive electrode; circulating an electrolytic soln. to both the cells; and carrying out electrolytic dissolution and deposition of a metal filament body to be treated with noncontact supply of a current in the cells.
CONSTITUTION: Metal filament body 11 to be treated is passed through cell 1,2 in succession. During the passage, a current is supplied from DC power source 4, and electrolytic soln. 10 overflows from the upper parts of cells 1,2, flows into pipes 8, 8, passes through storage tank 9 and pump 7, and circulates to the bottoms of cells 1, 2 from pipes 6, 6. In cell 1, electrode 3 acts as a negative electrode and opposite body 11 acts as a positive electrode, so the surface layer of body 11 is electrolytically dissolved. Next, since electrode 5 and dissolved body 11 act as positive and negative electrodes, respectively in cell 2, a metal of the same kind is electrodeposited.
