Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain high reflection preventive effect on a light receiving surface in a solar battery unit by coating solution containing titanium dioxide and silicon dioxide on the surface when forming a reflection preventive film on the light receiving surface and evaporating the solvent in the solution at high temperature to thereby coat the mixture of the dioxides on the surface to thus control the refractive index thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A solar battery unit 1 diffused and formed with electrodes is placed on a spin bench, an ethanol solution containing 3% of silicon dioxide and 0.6% of titanium dioxide is dropped or coated by a brush on a light receiving portion 4. Then the spin bench is rotated at 3000∼4000 revolutions per minute only for ten seconds to thereby separate out excessive solution therefrom, baked at 350∼450°C. for 10∼30 minutes to thereby evaporate only the solvent and to adhere the mixture thereof on the surface portion 4. When light is irradiated from a xenon lamp 3 nearest to the sun thereto, there can be obtained a reflection preventive film 3 becoming 1400∼1700Å of the thickness thereof and X of refractive index thereof with high reflection preventive effect.
