Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify a core mold and to enable the efficient production of a subject joint having a high precision resulting from elimination of the need for an extensive power rotation required for a heavy mold, by performing a molding of a bent portion and a molding of a receiving portion in a separate process by the respective winding systems.
CONSTITUTION: A molding of a bent portion 2 is such that the rotation of a core mold 1 for a bent portion molding causes the formation of an internal surface layer 201 comprising a mat such as glass fibre whereinto resin solution of unsaturated polyester resin or the like mixed with hardener is soaked, a reinforcing layer 202, comprising a glass fibre screen cloth, wound around the layer 201, a line layer 203 such as glass rovings, wherein resin liquid is soaked, then wound around the layer 202, and a layer 204 whereat tow such as glass fibre are dispersed over surfaces of across ends and each one end of the end surfaces encroaches on the laminar layer so formed. Aforesaid work is hardened by heating to form the bent portion 2. After said bent portion is demolded, one end 21 of the bent portion 2 is fitted in a small- sized portion 32 of a receiving portion mold 3, the bent portion 2 being secured on the receiving portion mold 3 by expanding a hollow toroidal part 36 with air fed into by pressure. The respective layers 41, 42 and 43 are formed in the manner described above with regard to the formation of the bent portion 2, the pressure applied to the toroidal part 36 being released after heating. The receiving portion 4 is formed at one end of the bent portion 2, a receiving portion 4' being provided at the other end in the same manner as described above.
