Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent cracks due to thermal stress, by attaching short fibers with a bonding agent to the end of a winding and molding the short fibers with a resin.
CONSTITUTION: A layer 7 is made on an insulator layer 2 on the end of the winding from the bonding agent having the same main constituent as the molding resin. The short fivers of polyester, glass or the like are uniformly attached to the bonding agent layer 7 by fluid painting, spraying or the like so that a short fiber layer 6 is formed. The whole end of the winding is then molded with the resin 5. Because the thermal stress due to the heating of the winding in operation is absorbed by the short fiber layer 6, the cracks are prevented. Since the fibers are short, they adhere well to a part of complicated form as well. Thus, the cracks are surely and economically prevented.
