Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of steps of impregnation, drying, and the like and shorten the work process by a method wherein plural sheet-formed blank materials are laminated together, passed through a thermosetting resin solution, and dried to form a composite resin-impregnated sheet-formed blank material, which is then used for producing a laminate.
CONSTITUTION: Overlay paper 5 and pattern paper 6 wound around rolls 9, 10 respectively are hooked on a first dip roll 11 in a laminated conditon, and dipped in a melamine resin solution 13 in an impregnation tank 12. After air bubbles present between the overlay paper 5 and pattern paper 6 are removed, the laminate is drawn up from the solution 13, and dried to obtain a composite resin-impregnated paper 8. The paper 8 is laid upon a core, with a melamine resin-impregnated subliner therebetween, and thermocompression-formed to obtain a dress board in a production process. The paper 8 is widely applicable to production of laminates, not limited to dress board.
