Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise workability and discharge characteristics by the procedure in which unsintered fluoro-resin powders are added to active substance powders, the mixed resin powders are fibrillated and then mixed with a glue containing short fibers, and then the mixture is sheeted and laid on core. CONSTITUTION:Unsintered polytetrafluoroethylen powders are added to active substance mixture composed of cadmium oxide powders and metallic calmium powders, the unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene is fibrillated by application of a shearing force and then mixed with a glue solution containing hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium phosphate, polyethylene short fibers, etc., together with water, and then the mixture is sheeted and laid on the electrode core. Then, the sheet-covered electrode core is made into electrode by press molding. Thus, the amount of unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene to add can be reduced and also workability, productivity, and discharge performance can be raised.
