Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the displacement of the relative location of IC lead and IC pellet by a method wherein, after the completion of internal connection, an insulator is mounted at the internal lead portion of the base-ribbon, or the insulator is arranged at the backside of the internal lead portion, and following the above, the insulator and the lead portions of each part are fixed with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:An insulator 7 is placed on the right or reverse side of IC leads after wire bonding. The insulator 7, IC leads 4 and cavity leads 9 are combined with each other with adhesive 8, and resin is enclosed. Consequently, the change of the relative locations of the IC leads 4 to each other or the leads 4 on one hand and cavity leads 9 on the other is prevented. The use of the insulator 7 and adhesive 8 eliminates th necessity of removing the insulator 7 when the resin is enclosed.
