Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain combustion without black smoke even when a load is suddenly increased, by controlling the flow rates of a plurality of kinds of fuel by calculating a permissible quantity of heat on the basis of a signal representative of a prescribed quantity of heat and an actual flow rate of air, and applying a proportional bias of an instantaneous value thereon.
CONSTITUTION: Two kinds of fuel A, B is fed through flow rate control valves 35, 36, respectively, and mixed with air, which is fed through a flow rate control valve 37, so as to be burnt in a burner section. In this case, the pressure of vapor at an outlet side of a boiler 11 is determined by means of an oscillator 12. An output from the oscillator 12 is sent to a pressure regulator 13 to output a signal CD representative of a prescribed quantity of heat. The flow rate of air is determined by a detector 27, and a signal representative thereof is output as a signal FA representing an actual flow rate of air, by means of an operator 28. A signal CA representative of a total acutal quantity of heat calculated on the basis of a total actual flow rate of fuel is output from a total heat quantity operator 23. A signal AR representative of a total prescribed theoretical flow rate of air is output from another operator 25. A signal A representative of an upper limit of permissible heat quantity is obtained from the outputs referred to above. Flow rate regulators 19, 22 are controlled on the basis of one of the signals A, CD that is of a lower level.
