Abstract
PURPOSE:To always ensure the steady reproduction of the carrier wave by preventing the shift of the stability point of the loop in the period of a small carrier-noise ratio C/N, and thus to reduce the bit error rate of the demodulation data in the coherent detection. CONSTITUTION:With application of digital phase modulation signal PSK wave (a), AM detection circuit 19 detects the envelope curve of the PSK wave. And gate control circuit 12 delivers control signal (b). This control signal features the L level while the envelope curve keeps the low level, i.e., the C/N corresponding to the narrow part of the PSK wave. Gate circuit 13a and 13b are closed regardless of the state of digital phase frequency comparator circuit PFC11, and charge pump circuit 14 receives the OFF control. Thus, the fluctuation like (c) of PFC11 occurring for that period can be prevented via circuit 13a and 13b, and the output of LPF15 under the steady state is given to voltage control type oscillator VCO16 like (d) after stabilization.
