Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the developing method of the electrostatic latent images creating the toner images of high density by forming the magnetic brush of insulation type toner particles on the surface of a conductive toner carrier and letting the toner particles carrying charges roll collectively to the surface of the magnetic brush.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic brush is formed by the magnetic toner particles 7 of resistivity 1012Ωcm or more held on the surface of a conductive toner carrier consisting of a magnetic roll 5 and a conductive sleeve 6 rotating relatively. This is the developing method of developing the images by letting the leading end of said brush contact the electrostatic latent image surface 4. The carrier surface is contacted with said high resistivity magnetic toner particles 7, charges are applied to the magnetic toner particles 7, and said charge magnetic toner particles are shifted to the surface of the magnetic toner through collective rolling and are deposited on the electrostatic latent image 4 surface, whereby the high-density toner images are created.
