Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable good copying images to be obtained with the developing device of a small size by arraying and providing plural conductors in the circumferential direction of the surface of a non-magnetic insulation sleeve rotating in proximity to a photoreceptor and contacting plural current collectors in contact therewith.
CONSTITUTION: A non-magnetic insulation sleeve 2 which is provided with plural conductors 4 dividedly in its circumferential direction is provided in proximity to the outside circumferential surface of a photoreceptor 1, on the upper opening side of a toner vessel 7 in which middle and high resistance magnetic toner 6 has been contained. Further current collectors 10, 11 in contact with the sleeve 2 are provided, said current collector 10 being grounded and the current collector 11 being connected to a bias power source 12. The charging potential after passing a toner charging device 9 is so set as to be ±100 to 250V in case the layer thickness of developer 6 is 0.8 to 2.0 mm but the voltage application by the toner charging device 9 may be low because the conductor 4 is grounded with the current collector 10.
