Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the obtaining of suitable images with simple constitution by so disposing conductors as to oppose to the surface of a photoconductive photosensitive layer by way of developing spacing and applying bias voltage between both.
CONSTITUTION: A high resistance layer of 105W1012Ωcm in resistance value at the thickness 1W35μ, preferably 5W18μ is formed on the outside peripheral surface of a sleeve 6. This obviates opposing of the sleeve 6 and rotary drum 1 by way of the spacing alone even if any insulation defect portion exists in the photoconductive photosensitive layer 2 opposing thereto by way of the developing spacing 8. This also obviates the occurrence of shorting owing to electric discharge or the like because the charge generated by the bias voltage in the high resistance layer 10 is hardly moved, hence giving of adverse influence of the insulation defect parts upon developability is perfectly prevented and always good development is obtainable.
