Abstract

PURPOSE: To accumulate hot water efficiently into a heat storage tank by opening or closing a check valve on difference in the temperature between the heat collecting box and the circulating fluid in the heat storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: When sun light comes upon the heat collecting box 1, heated with a black heat absorbing plate, water goes higher in the temperature than that of water in the heat storage tank. A check valve opens and the hot water in the heat collecting box 1 enaters the heat storage tank 5. Then, it moves down through an introduction pipe 7 and diffuses in the tank 5 in such a manner as to spring up slightly below the center of the tank 5. The hot water is stored gradually from the upper portion floating above from slightly below the center. Even when the circulation is halted, in time, a low temperature is gradually transmitted to the pipe 7 from a heat storing plate 8 extended to the lower low temperature section to lower the temperature of the water in the pipe 7. This causes a sufficient difference in the temperature between the heat collecting box and the heat storage tank to open the valve 11. With repetition of this process, the hot water is circulated intermittently until it is stored down to the lower section in the heat storage tank 5.
