Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive to lighten a solar heat collector and to simplify an installation work by a method wherein solar heat is transmitted from a heat exchanger to the water to be used as hot water by circulating a small quantity of water serving as heat transfer medium through the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: Heat energy converged on a line by means of a Fresnel lens is condensed on a rectilinearly made-up heat collecting pipe 3 to change the water in the pipe 3 into steam. The vaporized water or steam is led, through a return pipe 8, to the heat exchanger 4 and turned into the water again by transmitting its heat to the surrounding water in the heat exchanger. At this time the heat of condensation is released from the steam, resulting in turning the water within a storage tank 9 to hot water. Accordingly, the state in the heat exchanger is as follows: i.e. an upper part is filled with steam only, an intermediate part is filled with steam and water in mixture, a lower part is filled with water only. The water in the lower part is led through an electromagnetic pump 5 to forwarding pipe 7. Because a pipe 6 open to the atmosphere is provided before the inlet of the electromagnetic pump 5, the pressure in a circulating system composed of the heat collecting pipe 3, the return pipe 8, the heat exchanger 4 and the forwarding pipe 7 is kept at the atmospheric pressure and as a result abnormal pressure rise in the system is prevented.
