Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the thermal efficiency of a solar hot-water supply system when it cannot utilize the solar heat because of clouds or the like by forcibly circulating the exhaust gas of an auxiliary boiler through a by-pass pipe in order to heat the water in the hot-water storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: Through circulating pipes 10 and 11, an auxiliary boiler 9 is connected to a hot-water storage tank 2 connected to a solar-heat collector 1 through circulating pipes 3 and 4. From the portion below a solenoid valve 16 installed on a chimney 9a of the auxiliary boiler 9, a combustion gas by-passing guide pipe 14 is branched off to connect with a communication chamber 2b in the lower part of the hot-water storage tank 2 through a solenoid valve 17. The communication chamber 2b is communicated with an upper communication chamber 2a through a fire tube 8, and the upper communication chamber 2a is communicated with the chimney 9a above the solenoid valve 16 through a by-passing guide pipe 15 having a solenoid valve 18. A thermostat 19 on the hot-water storage tank 2 controls the solenoid valves 16, 17, 18 and 20 so that the combustion gas is by-passed to heat the water in the hot-water storage tank 2.
