Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate dispersion and loss owing to wavelength differences of light, make possible miniaturization while minimizing aberrations and make matching of optical paths easy by installing concave mirrors on the optical paths of the coupling elements on the light emitting side and photo detecting side and obtaining parallel luminous fluxes. CONSTITUTION:Coupling elements 7 and 8 on the light emitting side and photo detecting side are mounted insertably in a connector case, the element 7 being constituted by the concave mirror 4 and fiber 1 fixed to a frame 3 and the element 8 by the concave mirror 5 and fiber 2 fixed to a frame 6, respectively. The exit light from the fiber 1 is reflected by the concave mirror 4 to become parallel luminous fluxes, which are then converged by the concave mirror 5. The converged light is entered to the fiber 2.
