Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize loss of light by enabling correct positioning of exit light from the lens of optical connector always with respect to the receiving side system, by fixing the optical connector in the hole provided in the casing in the state adjusted to optimum position and angle by using adhesive. CONSTITUTION:Selfoc lenses 3 and 4 at the entry side and exit side are fixed in receptacles 2 and 5 of optical connector, respectively, and fibers 1 and 7 are fixed to the center of plungers 8 and 9. To secure the optical connector receptacles 2 and 5 to a casing 10, holding the receptacles 2,5 with individual manipulators, it is adjusted so that the position and angle may be optimum in holes 11, 12 provided in the casing, i.e., the exit light from the lens 3 may enter the lens 6 at right angle. In this state, the receptacles 2,5 are fixed in the holes in the casing 10 by using adhesive 13.
