Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a safety mechanism against overrun of engine, in which arrangement is such that, in order to prevent overrun of engine, an electromagnetic valve of a superfluous fuel supplying means is opened to supply superfluous fuel at the time when engine is operated at an overspeed, by means of a switch which is operated by signals obtained from rotation of a magneto generator.
CONSTITUTION: When engine speed has reached a predetermined revolutional speed and "overrun" of engie is started, current is supplied to solenoid 12 of electromagnetic valve F by means of a switch E which is operated by an overrun detecting voltage obtained from coil 1 of a magneto generator, so that valve 33 is attracted into solenoid 12. Resultantly, return pipe 32' communicated to fuel tank 30 is closed so that fuel is carried into intake passage 26 of carburetor 25 via return pipe 32 and supply pipe 34. By the resultant increase in the density of mixture, combustion speed in combustion chamber 20 is lowered so that revolutional speed of engine is lowered rapidly. When the revolutional speed of engine becomes lower than the above-mentioned predetermined speed, current supply to solenoid 12 is stopped so that supply of superfluous fuel is also stopped.
