Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide optimal control of air fuel ratio at the time of deceleration and prevent fault such as engine stall, by using a bypass passage equipped with a computer-controlled valve for making a detour of a throttle valve of the internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: A throttle chamber 4 is equipped with a primary throttle valve 14 interlocked with an accelerator pedal and also with a secondary throttle valve 16 under control of a diaphragm 18, the primary throttle valve 14 having downstream a fuel injection valve 12 under control of a computer 70. A bypass passage 26, which makes a detour of the secondary throttle valve 16, is equipped with a control valve 80 driven by the computer 70. The computer 70 provides optimal control of fuel injection from the injection valve 12 during an idling and also controls the control valve 80 for providing optimal air supply from the passage 26 during deceleration.
