Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the bulking, by permitting the organic waste liquor to successively pass two or more stage aeration sections and the settling section, by reaerating the activated sludge, being settled in the settling section, in the reaeration section, after that, by fractionally returning the sludge to the former and the latter aeration sections, and furthermore, by specifying the BOD-MLSS load in the former aeration section.
CONSTITUTION: The organic waste liquor 1 is successively passed through the two or more stage aeration sections 2, 3, and the settling section 4; the activated sludge being settled in the settling section 4 is sent to the sludge reaeration section 6 through the returning pump 5 and the return path 8, and is reaerated by the air supplied from the blower 10. Next, a part of the sludge of the reaeration section 6 is sent through the returning pump 7 and the return path 9 to the former stage aeration section 2 which is operated with the BOD-MLSS load above 1.2kg/kg.day, and also, is conditioned to be the flock type bacteria multiplication section; and then, above sludge is treated by mixed aeration with the air supplied from the blower 10. Next, the mixed liquor is sent to the latter aeration section 3, and is mixed with the return sludge from the reaeratio section 6, and is aerated by the air supplied from the blower 10; hereby, the BOD component is completely removed.
