Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent suspended solids from flowing into treated water when water flow significantly increases, polyethyleneimine or alkylene dihalide-alkylenepolyamine polycondensate is added in the aeration tank or the flow route from the aeration tank to the sedimentation tank.
CONSTITUTION: Into the aeration tank or into the mixed solution flow route from the aeration tank to the sedimentation tank, polyethyleneimine or alkylene dihalide- alkylenepolyamine polycondensate is added in an amount of 5W50ppm (for sewage in residence group). This type of additive has a proper molecular weight of 30000W 600000 and is dense because of cationic property to form flocks which is easy to settle down. As a result, flocks quickly settle down in the final sedimentation basin, and suspended solids (SS) are prevented from being flowed into treated water. If excessively added, flock expansion does not occur to enable stable treatment, thus controlling SS flow in response to the increased rate of water flow.
