PURPOSE: To prevent bulking in an organic waste water treatment by returning sludge sediment in the last sedimentation basin to the first sedimentation baisn and by supplying raw sludge sediment in the said first basin and sludge sediment in the last basin to an aeration vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Flowing-down water 1 flows in sedimentation basin 2 firstly and then flows in active sludge aeration vessel 3. Sludge sediment 5 in the last sedimentation basin 4 is returned to the first sedimentation basin 2 via duct 6 for whole- amount return and raw sludge settled in the first basin 2 and mixed sludge in sludge sediment 5 flow in aeration vessel 3 from duct 7. Part of the said mixed sludge is supplied as excessive sludge 10 from duct 8 to a process of sludge treatment. Thus, the bulking phenomenon of active sludge is prevented.
