Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove metal salt, NH3 and cyanide at high efficiency, by adding chlorine-based oxidizing agent then reducing agent under specified condition to the NH3 and cyanide waste water containing metal salt, and adding ferrous salt under acidic state to remove sediment, then adding slaked lime to remove sediment.
CONSTITUTION: Chlorine-based oxidizing agent is added to ammonia and cyanide waste water containing metal salt so as to maintain the oxidation-reduction potential difference(ORP) within 550W700mV, and then chlorine-based oxidizing agent is added to keep ORP within 800W900mV while maintaning pH within 7.5W8.5, then reducing agent is added so as to keep ORP within 150W200mV, next mineral acid is added and ferrous salt is added while maintaining pH at acidity to produce sediment, which is removed, then slaked lime is added to adjust pH to 12 or more, and the produced sediment is removed.
