PURPOSE:To improve setting precision and also to stabilize the operation of setting by digitally setting a phase. CONSTITUTION:With the phase of an input signal synchronized, the input signal is frequency-converted 11 into a frequency increased by n/(n+ or -m) or (n+ or -m)/n [m and n are integers] and a conversion output signal is counted down 12 to 1/n; and the set value of setter 14 is loaded to counter 13 by its output signal and the conversion output signal is counted down to 1/n by counter 13. Then, this signal is converted 15 into the same frequency as the input signal phase-synchronizing with the output signal of counter 13, so that digital phase shifting will be attained with high precision and high stability.
