Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure a high-accuracy A/D conversion with no effect of the drift as well as to realize a low cost by supplying the reference voltage to the voltage-frequency converter and then setting the division ratio of the variable divider in accordance with the output frequency at the supply time of the reference voltage.
CONSTITUTION: Register 28 which sets the division ratio between reference voltage generator 26, variable divider 27 and divider 27 is provided in order to compensate the gain drift of voltage-frequency converter 22. Reference voltage VN of generator 26 is supplied to converter 22, and the division ratio of divider 27 is varied in accordance with frequency fi obtained at the output terminal of converter 22. Thus the gain drift can be compensated for converter 22. In other words, the gain drift of converter 22 is compensated at the out put terminal of divider 27 by setting the division ratio so that output frequency f0 of divider 27 may be constant to the same VN. Thus the correct frequency can be obtained at the output of divider 27 and according to the input voltage by supplying analog input voltage Vi next instead of VN. And a subtraction is given to counter 23 to obtain digital conversion value D.
